Book Review: Whole Lotta Led Zeppelin

“Whole Lotta Led Zeppelin: The Illustrated History of the Heaviest Band of All Time” is a book that every classic rock fan should own. It contains 288 pages of full color tour posters, ticket stubs and many unseen photos of the band live in concert.

The book follows the journey of Led Zeppelin from their beginnings as The New Yardbirds up until their disbanding after the death of drummer John Bonham. It contains stories and write-ups by some of the biggest names in music including Peter Frampton, Ann & Nancy Wilson from Heart and David Fricke senior editor of Rolling Stone magazine. What is also great about this book is the complete tour schedule from 1968 to 1980. Each album gets an in-depth write-up on the recording and thought process that went into each classic album.

This book will be in order for multiple reads and will be a great gift for any Led Zeppelin fan. The book was published back in September and comes in hardcover ($35 retail) and paperback ($19.99 retail).
