CD Review: Chet Vincent And The Big Bend Are "For Everyone" To Enjoy
Their honky-tonk sound flies right out with the album opener "Dead Kings" as Chet's voice plays the perfect cowboy telling stories of his adventures. Bassist Tad Wissel takes a crack at the lead vocals on "Without A Doubt" and "When You're Gone." The acoustic campfire song "Goodbye, My Love" is the perfect setting for Chet's countrified vocals. The band breaks out from the slow, country blues on "Mile Markers" as they seem to enjoy picking up the tempo. The addition of Molly Szramowski on vocals gives the closing song "State Line" a breath of fresh air as Chet sounds more relaxed sharing the vocal duties.
Chet Vincent & The Big Bend have a couple shows lined-up in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Check out the band's website, thebigbend.net for more information.
