CD Review: The Blue James Band Want You To Give Them "Love" For Their New Release

From Boston, MA comes the Blue James Band with their third full-length album “Give Me The Love Or Give Me The Fight.” It was released back in September through Payne Records and produced by founding member Clifton Williams and Scott Riebling (Weezer, We The Kings). The new album combines all the band’s influences of roots rock, reggae and classic rock to create an adventure for the listener.
The album begins with “Not Ready For You,” which mixes the band’s bar rock sound with touches of reggae to give the song a sunny island vibe. The Blue James Band keeps the music fresh with the bright, up-lifting sounds of the title song and “They Come and They Go." Williams and the band hit the heights on the mellow jam of “Everyone’s Running” as you can just imagine extending the music on that song in a live setting. The album closes with the funky “Standing In The Fire” and the slow-building, classic rock of “Eyes In The Dark.”
The Blue James Band has a load of shows scheduled in the northern New England area. For a complete list of live dates and for more information on the new album “Give Me The Love Or Give Me The Fight,” please visit
