Singer/songwriter Brittany Jean returns with her second EP
entitled “Let It Go.” It was released on October 23 and features five songs
that are described as the “old-school” approach to songwriting.
The tone of this new album is very earthy with great
acoustics that really allow you to hear and appreciate Brittany’s vocals. The
opening song, “Machines” sounds a little like a Natalie Merchant outtake, while
“Only Once” is definitely the highlight of the album. Her songwriting and
passion for singing comes across in her vocals. Her country-folk storytelling
comes shining through on the album closer “The Line.” Hopefully her next
release will be a full album, because her voice and music are just so relaxing
to enjoy.
Brittany Jean has one show scheduled for November 3 in
Fairfax City, VA. For more information on her new album, please visit her
