CD Review: Newcomers Walk Off The Earth Continue To "Sing It All Away" On New Album

Canadian alternative rock/pop band Walk Off The Earth recently released their sophomore album "Sing It All Away" through Columbia Records. The new album is looking to build upon the success of their debut album "R.E.V.O," which cracked the top 100 on the U.S. Billboard album charts and the top 10 in their home country of Canada. Walk Off The Earth also just wrapped up a successful U.S. tour and will be heading over to Europe for a load of shows in October.

The new twelve song release starts out with the band's latest single "Rule The World," which is a call to arms for their fans as the marching rhythm and addictive melody is the perfect recipe for pop success. The band's pop success has seeped into their songwriting with the dance/pop feel of "I'll Be Waiting" and "Hold On (The Break)." A nice reggae vibe finds its way into the rhythm heavy "Sing It All Away" and the sunshine pop of "Climb Out Your Window." Walk Off The Earth slow down the tempo for the mostly acoustic "California Trees," before wrapping the album up with help from electronic house musician Steve Aoki on the dancefloor beats of "Home We'll Go (Take My Hand)."
