Singer/songwriter
Austin Hanks recently released his brand new studio album titled
"Alabastard." It is his first album of new material in over a decade,
but Hanks has kept himself busy, performing songs for the FX series
"Sons Of Anarchy," writing music with Gibbons for ZZ Top's latest album
"La Futura" and making an appearance in the Hillary Swank movie "You're
Not You." The new album was produced by Grammy winner David Bianco and
features the sweet guitar work of Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.
Hanks' new
13-song release begins with the slow country blues of "Toughest Part Of
Me" as his music and words find there way into your heart. Then he
displays the great, emotional song-writing of "Delta Torches" as the
music carries on that huge, classic country/rock feel. The Texas
boogie-shuffle of "I'll Go Crazy" and the electrifying guitar solos on
"Bone, Muscle & Blood" showcase the excitement that Hanks pours into
his music with help from a star-studded support cast, which includes
members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Heartbreakers and Jeff Beck's band.
Austin
Hanks will be opening for ZZ Top on their latest U.S. tour which runs
from February 18th to March 17th. For a complete list of live dates and
