The
Washington D.C.-based group, Thievery Corporation return with their new
album titled "The Temple Of I And I." They have gathered a cult
following, without the success of a hit single, which is due to their
live shows and rich, vast influence of music. Their latest set of songs
carry an island sound as Thievery Corporation set up camp at Geejam
Studios in Jamaica.
The new
15-song release begins with the deep bass groove of "Thief Rockers,"
before heading into the dance beats of "Letter To The Editor," which
features the debut of newcomer Racquel Jones. Thievery Corporation gets
funky with the seventies vibe of "Strike The Root," then bring in the
smooth hip-hop tones of "Ghetto Matrix." The band reverts back to the
island groove of "The True Sons Of Zion" and delivers the silky
R&B-flavored "Love Has No Heart" and "Lose To Find." The album
finishes up with Racquel Jones returning for the reggae movement of
"Road Block," before closing with the up-tempo island vibe of "Drop Your
Guns."
Thievery
Corporation have a 14-date European tour coming up in February, before
returning to the U.S. this summer for a few festivals. The new album
will be released on February 10th through ESL Records. To find out more,
