Singer/songwriter/guitarist
Richie Kotzen is preparing to release his new solo album "Salting
Earth" on April 14th through his own label, Headroom-Inc. It was written
and recorded following the successful tour of his band The Winery Dogs
as Kotzen looks to rev-up his solo career once again. This album follows
only two years after the success of his last studio album "Cannibals."
The new
10-song release begins with what fans would expect from this guitar
virtuoso as "End Of Earth" is a hard rocker. Kotzen's iconic vocals
shine on this album opener as he screams the chorus along to some
intense guitar riffs. He continues with the insane delivery of
"Thunder," before switching gears for the power ballad "Divine Power,"
which features some of Kotzen's bluesiest guitar licks on this album.
Kotzen then shows off his R&B side with the swing of "My Rock" and
"This Is Life" as he pulls off his best Al Green impression. The album
finishes with the up-tempo, southern, swamp rock of "Make It Easy" and
the acoustic pop of "Grammy."
Richie
Kotzen has lined-up a U.S. tour this spring running from April 21 to May
25, before heading down to South America and over to Europe this summer.
