The
Chris Robinson Brotherhood continue to roll out quality music at a
steady pace. Just last year they released a full-length studio album, a
follow-up studio EP and earlier this year they released a new
double-live album. They continue the trend with their brand new studio
album titled "Barefoot In The Head." It was released on July 21st
through Silver Arrow Records and features 10-tracks that keep the music
down-to-earth with their signature rootsy, jamband sound.
The
new album begins with a shuffle rhythm, funky bass groove and some
outstanding blues guitar riffs that lead the way for singer Chris
Robinson's iconic vocals on the opener "Behold The Seer." The CRB slow down
for the roots ballad "She Shares My Blanket," before Robinson spills out
lyrics like a hip-hop artist during the story of "Hark The Herald
Hermit Speaks." The band showcase their jazzier side on the New Orleans
flavor of "Blue Star Woman," then travel out to the country for the
genuine acoustic-based songs "High Is Not The Top" and "If You Had A Heart To
Break." They finish their new album with the gentle acoustic strumming of "Glow"
and the seventies slow rock vibe of "Good To Know."
The
Chris Robinson Brotherhood are currently in the midst of their U.S.
tour which runs until the end of the year. For a complete list of live
