Anthrax Become The "Kings Among Scotland" With New Live DVD

Heavy metal band, Anthrax have been riding a wave of resurgence with their music, which began about 8 years ago with their performance as one of the "Big 4​" of thrash metal music (along with Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica). The release of their album "Worship Music" in 2011 found the band receiving some of the best reviews of their career, as the album reached #12 on the Billboard album chart. Classic Re-Issues Arriving From Robbie Dupree & New Music From Ben Bostick And Patrick Ames

Singer/songwriter Robbie Dupree found success early in his career, when his single "Steal Away" reached #6 on the U.S. singles chart and his self-titled debut album was a best seller in 1980. He quickly tried to follow-up that success with the release of his second album "Street Corner Heroes" in 1981. After that album failed to make the same impact as his debut release, Robbie Dupree would not release another album for over six years, but to honor his early accomplishments, Blixa Sounds is re-releasing Dupree's first two albums on CD with bonus tracks.

Both albums have been digitally remastered from the original recording tapes and features previously unreleased bonus tracks. Dupree's debut album starts off with his famous single "Steal Away" and continues with his classic, "Yacht Rock" sound that became famous on the radio charts in the early eighties. It's Time To Look Back And Celebrate The 45th Anniversary Of Pete Townshend's "Who Came First"

After the success of The Who's concept album "Tommy," singer/songwriter/guitarist Pete Townshend felt the pressure for an even bigger follow-up album. His next writing project was titled "Lifehouse," but was quickly abandoned for the more straight-forward rock appeal of "Who's Next." With so many songs written for the "Lifehouse" project, Townshend didn't want them to go to waste. Omnivore Recordings Re-Visits The Solo Years Of Steve Wynn With Two New Releases

The art-rock band The Dream Syndicate issued in a psychedelic sound to the 1980's music scene. Then in 1990, the band took a break and lead singer/songwriter Steve Wynn created two magical solo albums and on April 27th, Omnivore Recordings is re-issuing those album with loads of bonus tracks. Wynn's debut solo album "Kerosene Man" is a mix of rock and folk music with help from friends in other bands like Concrete Blonde, X and Los Lobos. Wynn also had a couple of minor hits with the songs "Tears Won't Help" and "Carolyn." The original album received the "remastered" treatment and now includes six bonus tracks taken from a couple of live recordings that Steve Wynn did in 1990. The Who Revisit Their Past With New "Live At The Fillmore East 1968" Release

Back in 1968, The Who were on the brink of global stardom. They were in the midst of recording the epic rock opera "Tommy" and would be featured as one of the premier acts at the legendary "Woodstock" festival. To keep their name in the spotlight between the release of their third full-length album "The Who Sell Out" and "Tommy," The Who embarked on a U.S. tour in early 1968. The band were planning to conclude their tour on April 4th, the day Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, but ended up being pushed back to April 5th and 6th with two final performances at the iconic Fillmore East venue.

The shows were described as "lively" as The Who were planning on recording the shows for a possible live release, but technical problems caused most of the first show not to be recorded. The second night was recorded in full, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of these shows, Geffen/Universal Music Enterprise is releasing the show for the first time on double-CD and triple vinyl.

The Who "Live At The Fillmore East 1968" will be released on April 20th and features the second show's entire 14-song set, beginning with their classic covers of Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" and Allen Toussaint's "Fortune Teller." One of the best things about this new live release is not only the energy that The Who put into every song, but also the in-between speeches by Pete Townshend, describing many of the songs they performed that evening.

The show included epic performances of their songs "Relax" and the mini, rock-opera "A Quick One While He's Away." They would head toward the end of their show, performing a trio of cover songs, including more from Eddie Cochran ("My Way" and "C'mon Everybody") and "Shakin' All Over" originally by Johnny Kid And The Pirates, before finishing the night with a 30-plus minute version of their classic hit single, "My Generation." Esoteric Recordings Honors The Late Chris Squire With New "Fish Out Of Water" Box Set

English musician Chris Squire was a founding member of the progressive rock band Yes and the only member to appear on every studio album, up until his death in 2015. To honor Squire and the release of his first solo album in 1975, Esoteric Recordings is re-issuing the album in a limited edition deluxe box set, which includes 2CD, 2DVD, 1 full-length LP and two 7-inch singles. The set will also be made available separately as a 2CD deluxe edition.

The first disc features Squire's "Fish Out Of Water" album as a brand new stereo remix, which was taken from the original multi-track tapes. The new remix gives the music an over-polished tone as everything sounds cleaner. The original album felt like an extension of Yes as many of Squire's friends from other bands like King Crimson, Soft Machine, The Moody Blues and Genesis support Squire's iconic sounding music. Squire would not follow up this solo album with another release until 2007's holiday album "Chris Squire's Swiss Choir."

Fans of Squire's music will love the second disc, which features the original 1975 mix, remastered, along with a couple of bonus tracks and Squire's only single "Run With The Fox" and its B-side "Return Of The Fox." The bonus tracks include the condensed singles versions of "Lucky Seven" and the epic piece "Silently Falling."

The first DVD included in the limited edition box set include a new 5.1 surround sound mix of the album, along with the new stereo mix included on the first CD. The second DVD features the visual content from the album, including a 1975 promotional film for the album, as well as an interview with Chris Squire from 2006, which promoted the a new remix of the album.
