The hard rock supergroup, A Perfect Circle return after a 14-year hiatus between albums to delivery their latest release titled "Eat The Elephant." It will be released on April 20th through BMG and features a dozen brand-new studio tracks, beginning with the title-song, "Eat The Elephant." A Perfect Circle slowly invite you back into their musical world with the iconic, melodic vocals of Maynard James Keenan (Tool) and the band's excellent musicianship. The tempo of the album picks up slightly, for a moment with the progressive rock appeal of "Disillusioned," as long time fans will appreciate the delicate touch that A Perfect Circle add to their music. The pounding of drums, signals the harder, edgier music that A Perfect Circle are known for as "The Doomed" will get your speakers shaking. The album continues with the modern, progressive feel of "TalkTalk" and "Hourglass," before closing with the nearly seven-minute, experimental rock piece "Get The Led Out." A Perfect Circle are currently on tour in the U.S. through May. For a complete list of dates and to find out more about their new album, "Eat The Elephant," please visit aperfectcircle.com.
The Melvins are back with a brand new studio album titled "Pinkus Abortion Technician." It will be released on April 20th and features only nine tracks, beginning with their medley of the James Gang's song "Stop" and the Butthole Surfers' song "Moving To Florida." The Melvins have re-titled it "Stop Moving To Florida" and put their iconic stamp on it, along with help from Butthole Surfers' bass man, Jeff Pinkus. The album continues with the punk-like quickness of "Embrace The Rub" and the eight-minute jaunt of "Don't Forget To Breathe." The Melvins look to finish up their latest release with covers of The Beatles' "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and the Butthole Surfers' song, "Graveyard." In between those two songs, they squeeze in the acoustic grunge tale of "Prenup Butter." The Melvins have a four-month tour planned this spring/summer, beginning on April 26th.
