From Helsinki, Finland comes the latest release, titled "We Are Together" from the Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble. The new 10-song release begins with the wonderful harmonies of "Hande" as the vocals (which are not in English) have a pop aspect to them. The music of the opening track certainly has a classical appeal, before the band gets funky with the seventies-dance rhythm of "Nonvi tche (My Brother)." The horns come alive during the up-tempo, reggae vibe of "One Shot," then the Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble deliver "Ozanku," which showcases the band's African influence. They finish up their new release with the soulful dance-infused rhythm of "Awhan gbe le" and the acoustic jazz inspired "Nu he ado."
