Arriving on Star Wars day, May the 4th, is the new Star Wars-themed, instrumental rock album titled "Episode II" from the Galactic Empire. They released their debut album only last year and their video for the song "The Imperial March" has over 6 million views on You Tube (youtube.com).
Their new album features 11-tracks that further combine the worlds of Star Wars and progressive rock music as they begin with the electrifying guitar work of "March Of The Resistance." The energy continues to flow with the quick pace of "Scherzo For X-Wings" and the pounding rhythm of "Kylo Ren Arrives At The Battle." The band revolves their sound around the song's subject as "Rey's Theme" plays out like a cry of hope, while "The Emperor" carries a dark, aggressive sound. The Galactic Empire finish their new release with the 8-plus minute epic conclusion "The Battle Of Yavin (Launch From The Fourth Moon)." On April 27th, the WorldService Project will "Serve" up a new release through RareNoise Records. It features eight brand-new avant-garde, progressive jazz/rock pieces that are sure to excite the senses, beginning with the steady flow of guitars and horns on "Plagued And Righteousness." The band's weird, Monty Pythonesque sense of humor comes pouring out during the nostalgic jazz/punk piece "The Tale Of Mr Giggles," while "Ease" explores the experimental soundscapes of hard rock rhythms and sonic horn blasts. Their new album continues with the politically charged monster "Now This Means War" as the band explode with messages of equality in English, French, Italian and German. Then they wrap up their new album with the erratically attractive, energetic feel of "To Lose The Loved" and the epic 8-plus minute dark jazz tones of "False Prophets."
