Veteran singer/songwriter Flav Martin has teamed up with drummer Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel) to record a new album titled "Soul Redemption." Rounding out the band is world-renown bassist Tony Levin, along with Peter Primamore, Thor Jensen, Marc Shulman and Gary Schreiner. Together, Martin and Marotta inspired each other on this new album, as they begin with the acoustic strumming of the title song "Soul Redemption" as the album carries a traditional world music appeal. The album continues with the laid-back tones of "Please" and "Drink You," while rhythm section of Marotta and Levin lay the perfect foundation for songs like "I Knew It Was You" and "Coffee Song." Martin and Marotta finish up their new album with the soft shuffle ballad "How Could You Leave Me Now." Guitar legend Shuggie Otis returns with a brand new studio album titled "Inter-Fusion." It features some of the best work of his 50+ year career and this time he brought along some friends (Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin and Kyle Hamood) to help him out. The new 8-song release begins with the bluesy instrumental "Aphelion," before expanding on his sound with the funky rock fusion of "Get A Grip." Then, the band just rocks on the nostalgic feel of "Ice Cold Daydream" as Shuggie lays down some vocals, on top of this blues jam. The rhythm of "Woman" gets a little funky, with the help of the rhythm section of Appice and Franklin as Shuggie plays it safe on the guitar, while Hamood is featured on the keys. The album wraps up with the progressive rock attack of "Sweet Surrender" and the high-powered energy of "V8" as Shuggie Otis reminds you one last time why he has been quoted as the "heir to Hendrix." Music is an art form and cultural activity. When a new music album release the audience wait to listen, where as the singer and writer wait for the review of the audience. These review helps them to perform better in future.
