Alternative rock band, the Gin Blossoms recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album "New Miserable Experience" and also the band's 30th anniversary of existence. Now they are returning, after 8 years, with their first album of new material titled "Mixed Reality." The album was released on June 15th through Cleopatra Records and features 15-tracks, beginning with the iconic, acoustic, alt-pop tones of "Break." The music sounds timeless, as you'd think you fell back into the nineties with the Gin Blossoms addictive radio anthems.
Their new album continues with the steady pace of "Face The Dark," before the band picks up the tempo on the edgy rocker "New Mexico Trouble." The songwriting on this new album is stellar, as songs like "Here Again" and "Girl On The Side" will once again find their way to your musical heart as only the Gin Blossoms know how. Their new album wraps up with the sweet sounds of "Wonder," the post-punk energy of "Shadow" and the acoustic pop strumming of "Mega Pawn King."
The Gin Blossoms are currently in the midst of a 3-month summer tour. For a complete list of shows and to find out more about their new album "Mixed Realty," please visit ginblossoms.net.
