American funk/R&B band, The Internet recently released their fourth full-length album titled "Hive Mind." The new 13-track release showcases the band's growth in songwriting as the album kicks off with the smooth, jazz groove of "Come Together" and the classic, seventies-sounding funk of "Roll (Burbank Funk)." Lead singer Sydney Bennett makes her presence known on the sweet R&B flavor of "Come Over," before the tempo picks up with the addictive lyrics of "La Di Da." The music takes on a hip-hop rhythm for "Next Time/Humble Pie," before return to the soulful style of "It Gets Better (With Time)." The Internet finish up their new album with the gentle strumming of "Wanna Be" and the steady flow of "Hold On" as Bennett almost whispers the lyrics on this ballad.
