Legendary shock rocker, Alice Cooper has been riding a resurgence in popularity. Proof of this came in the release of his most recent studio album "Paranormal," which charted very well in the U.S. and debuted at #6 on the U.K. album chart. Following the release of this album, Alice Cooper brought his new act on the road and this will become the subject of his new live album "A Paranormal Evening At The Olympia Paris." The show was recorded on December 7, 2017 and will be released on August 31st, through earMusic as a 2CD or 2LP set.
The new 18-song set features only one song from the "Paranormal" studio album, but all of Alice Cooper's shows tell a story as you follow his live adventures. This show begins with one of his more recent hits with the chaos of "Brutal Planet," before he dives into his classic hits like "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Under My Wheels," as you can hear the audience singing along. Alice wastes no time as he keeps the energy going with the shouts of "Department Of Youth" and "Pain," while "Billion Dollar Babies" is one of the highlights of his live performances.
There is an amazing guitar solo that closes out "Women Of Mass Destruction," before Alice Cooper heads into the crowd favorites "Poison" and "Feed My Frankenstein." He finishes up his show, as he has done for may years now, with the "Ballad Of Dwight Fry," which leads into the sing-along of "I Love The Dead," then the eruption of "School's Out" and "I'm Eighteen." Alice Cooper is currently on tour in the U.S. through the end of October.
