We have a trio of new heavy metal release arriving over the course of the next month that will make you stand up and take notice. First up is the self-titled debut release from Connecticut's own, Entierro. The band features members of Fates Warning, Jasta and Kingdom of Sorrow, and their music is described as the interplay between drum and bass with twin guitars harmonizing over multi-layered vocals. Their new 8-song release comes blasting out of the gate with thunderous rhythm of "Cyclonic Winds." The band puts their skills on display for the six-minute progressive rock appeal of "Cauldron Of War," before barring down on the aggressive attack of "Live To Tell." Entierro had toward the finish of their new album with the buzzing, doom metal of "Valley Of Deceit" and the nostalgic, classic metal sounds of "Controlled Burn." Next up we have the new limited edition, vinyl-only release of the latest EP from Chevalier, titled "Chapitre II." It features only four tracks, but that is all that is needed in order for you to become a fan on this rising thrash metal band. The seven-minutes of "The Messenger" will certainly get your blood pumping, as the shear speed of the song will certainly grab your attention. Side A also includes the high-powered attack of "Wrath Of Steel" as Chevalier place you in the mind of a bloodied warrior on the battlefield. The flip side begins with exciting guitar introduction of "The Curse Of The Dead Star," that breaks down the barriers of thrash metal. Finally, on October 5th comes the third full-length release from the German metal band, Hammer King. Their new album titled "Poseidon Will Carry Us Home" features a dozen tracks that will continue the rise of Hammer King as one of the top power metal bands in the world. They begin to electrify your senses with the guitar-driven title song, "Poseidon Will Cary Us Home," before speeding up the tempo with the chugging riffs of "The Kin Is A Deadly Machine." Their album continues with the grand, epic sounding of "7 Days And 7 Kings" and "Where The Hammer Hangs," as Hammer King display their top-notch musicianship. They finish up their new album with the quick, thrash metal feel of "Locust Plague" and the march of "Meatus Majestatis."
