Arriving at the beginning of September are a trio of new releases from Metal Blade Records artists, Siege Of Power, Monstrosity and Satan. Siege Of Power started out five years ago under the name First Class Elite, releasing only a split album that went nowhere. Last year, they picked up the pieces and Siege Of Power was born from the ashes as they unleash their full-length debut album, "Warning Blast." The band has filled their new release to the brim with 18-tracks that come at you full blast in short spurts. The album kicks off with the guitar frenzy and motored rhythm of "Conquest For What?" and "For The Pain." Their music is straight-up hardcore metal at it finest as songs like "Bulldozing Skulls" and "Born Into Hate" are as aggressive and high-powered as anything else that is out there now. Siege Of Power even speed things up on the swift pace of "Uglification" and "Diatribe," while "Warning Blast" showcases some of the band's early heavy metal influences on this song's dark doom metal onslaught. They close out their new album with the violent screams of "Bleeding For The Cause," the neck-breaking speed of "Privileged Prick" and the longest song on the album, the 4-minute slow growl of "The Cold Room." Also arriving on September 7th, is the latest release from the veteran death metal band, Monstrosity. Their latest album "The Passage Of Existence," is the band's seventh studio album and features a dozen brand new metal anthems as the band shows no signs of slowing down after 25+ years. The album begins with the intense, high-powered deliver of "Cosmic Pandemia" as the growling vocals will take you to another level of evil. The album continues with the assault of "Kingdom of Fire" and "Solar Vacuum" as they will stimulate your senses with their shear power and speed. Monstrosity display a more progressive metal sound on the back-to-back six-minute epics "The Proselygeist" and "Maelstrom," before closing their new album with the steady pace of "The Hive" and the stellar musicianship of the nearly seven-minute "Slaves To The Evermore." Last, but not least, we arrive at the latest release from New Wave Of British Heavy Metal pioneers Satan. Their new album "Cruel Magic" continues the band's comeback, since reforming back in 2012. Their new 10-song album kicks things off with a jolt of energy in the form of "Into The Mouth Of Eternity" as their music continues to be exciting. Their speed and power continue to flow through "The Doomsday Clock" and "Legions Hellbound," as Satan displays glimpses of their early days. The album moves along with the chugging guitar riffs of "Ophidian" and the progressive metal appeal of "Who Among Us," before closing with the grand, epic feel of "Mortality," as Satan continues to flex their heavy metal muscle.
