Greta Van Fleet Delivers A New "Anthem" In Rock Music With Debut Full-Length Album
The four-piece Michigan rock band, Greta Van Fleet have been riding a surging wave of popularity since their arrival 18-months ago. Their debut EP "Black Smoke Rising" cracked the top ten on the "Hard Rock" charts and their follow-up EP "From The Fires" charted as high as #36 on the Billboard Album chart. Now, on October 19th, Greta Van Fleet will release their full-length debut album "Anthem Of The Peaceful Army" through Lava/Republic Records.
The band's sound has been compared to classic rock giants Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, as they look to mark their own path in rock history. Their new 10-song album begins with the six-minute blues-based rock of "Age Of Man," as you also notice a growth in the band's songwriting. The album continues with the guitar boogie of "The Cold Wind," which sounds straight from the heyday of the sixties British Blues era. The album's lead single, "When The Curtain Falls" is an guitar driven rocker that showcases the band's youthful energy. Vocalist Josh Kiszka belts out the lyrics of "Lover, Leaver (Taker, Believer)," as the band of brothers support him with their hard rock authority. Greta Van Fleet wrap up their new album with the acoustic-flavored folk rock of "You're The One," the epic, mystical sounds of "Brave New World" and the inspirational ballad "Anthem."
