The set begins with the piano boogie of "Solid Gold Cadillac," quickly followed by the intense swinging rhythm of "Down Boy Down." Next he pays tribute to local piano great, Professor Longhair with the swanky original "Mojo Mombo." Woods shows his love for Fats Domino with his performance of the classics "Blue Monday" and "Walking To New Orleans." The band gets their energy flowing one last time with the famous "Rocket 88," before Mitch Woods closes his set with the boogie-woogie swing of "House Of Blue Light."
Mitch Woods is performing a string of shows in the Virgin Island and then he returns to California for a bunch of shows in April and May, celebrating the release of his new live album. To find out more about Mitch Woods and his new album "A Tip Of The Hat To Fats," please visit mitchwoods.com.
