New Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Gems From Baroness, 3Teeth, Crown The Empire and Northlane

American hard rock band, Baroness have returned with their first new release in four years. The new album titled "Gold & Grey" was released back on June 14th and is loaded with seventeen tracks, that will surely make up for lost time. They begin with the aggressive sounds of "Front Toward Enemy," before settling down for the more melodic rock of "I'm Already Gone." The album also features six instrumental breaks that allow Baroness to experiment with their music, without interfering with the creation of their latest arena anthems like "Tourniquet" and "Throw Me An Anchor." The band showcase their softer side with the ballads "I'd Do Anything" and "Cold Blooded Angels," before flexing their hard rock muscles once again on the intense rhythm of "Broken Halo." They finish up their new album with the six minute, seventies rock vibe of "Borderlines" and the darker, moody tone of "Pale Sun." Baroness will be teaming up with Torche for a summer tour, which kicks off July 11th in Lancaster, PA. Arriving July 5th, is the third full-length release from the industrial metal band, 3Teeth. The new album titled "Metawar" features thirteen tracks that have become their most aggressive/confrontational album to date. After a short one-minute sound collage, 3Teeth dive into the rage of "Affluenza" with their aggressive beats. Their power and energy continue with the pounding rhythm of "Exxxit," as 3Teeth have used the last couple years to perfect their heavy metal sound. The politically charged "President X" is a call to arms to take charge of your government, while "Time Slave" draws from the influence of early Marilyn Manson and Static X. 3Teeth continue their dark metal onslaught with the more electronic impulse of "Surrender," while "Sell Your Face 2.0" is an attack on your speakers with its chaotic screams. The album closes with the goth-like feel of "The Fall" and their version of the Foster The People's hit single "Pumped Up Kicks." Arriving just two weeks later on July 19th, through Rise Records, is the fourth full-length album from the metalcore band, Crown The Empire. The new release titled "Sudden Sky" features ten tracks, beginning with "(X)," an 80-second combination of speech and industrial beats that lead up to the explosive opener "20/20." The band showcase a more mainstream rock sound on "Blurry (Out Of Place)," before flexing their metalcore muscle with the intensity of "Red Pills." Crown The Empire finish up their latest album with addictive chorus of "Under The Skin" and the aggressive heavy metal attack of the title song, "Sudden Sky." Crown The Empire will be hitting the road following the release of their new album "Sudden Sky." Then two weeks after that, on August 5th is the arrival of the fifth studio album from the Australian hardcore metal band, Northlane. Their new release titled "Alien" features eleven tracks, beginning with the sonic blast of "Details Matter." Once you realize what hit you, Northlane slow down for the more mainstream metal flow of "Bloodline." They pick up the intensity once again with the aggressive melody of "4D," while "Freefall" feels like the perfect balance for modern hard rock radio. The pounding rhythm of "Jinn" and the guitar frenzy of "Paradigm" showcase the youthful energy that Northlane pours into their music. They wrap up their new album with the quieter, electronics of "Sleepness," which displays another avenue of their sound. Northlane will be hitting the States with shows in August and September.
