Killswitch Engage Come Roaring Back With New Album "Atonement"

Premier hardcore metal band Killswitch Engage is returning with a brand new studio album "Atonement" to be released on August 16 through Metal Blade Records. Killswitch Engage are also celebrating their 20th anniversary with a world wide tour, which is currently traveling through the U.S. and will be heading overseas in October. The band's new album "Atonement" will be their 8th studio effort and has been two years in the making. It also features vocals from former lead singer Howard Jones, who stepped down from his duties in 2012, making this the perfect opportunity for the return of original lead singer Jesse Leach.

After kicking the album off with the chugging rhythm of the opening track, "Unleashed," things really begin to heat up with the aggressive metal attack of "The Signal Fire," which features a guest vocal from Howard Jones. The band certainly give their all to the arena built anthem "Us Against The World," while "I'm Broken Too" is a battle cry for supporting your friends in this life. Killswitch Engage take the energy up another notch with the thrash-like speed of "Know Your Enemy" and deliver the hardcore grind of "Ravenous," before closing out their new album with final sonic blast of "Bite The Hands That Feed."
