Check Out New Releases From Nina Herzog, Amber Weekes, Zoe Scott and Judy Stuart

Arriving March 12th is the debut release "Together Away" from Broadway star Nina Herzog. She has covered songs for many of the major music publishers, starred in "Buzzfeed" comedy videos and has been the voice of Odette in Sony Animation's version of "The Swan Princess" since 2018. Now, Nina decided it was time to let her own songs pave their way with her new six-song release. She kicks off her album with the elegant, acoustic jazz/pop melody of "Changing Seasons" and the beautiful soaring vocals of "Lean Into Me." Nina delivers an R&B vibe with the gentle, but smooth touch of "A Lifetime," before finishing with the soft-rock power ballad "Least Resistance" and the strong, Broadway-like vocals of "Lover's Lullaby." Vocalist Amber Weekes is preparing for Valentine's day with a special two-song release titled "My Romance, A Special Valentine." Amber performs a stunning, dream-like version of the Rogers & Hart classic "My Romance," as her vocals fit the music perfectly. The flipside is a duet with vocalist Mon David on the song "The Way He Makes Me Feel," which was made popular by Barbra Streisand from the film "Yental." The voices of Amber and Mon mesh perfectly together on this elegant track. This short release is a preview of Amber Weekes new remastered version of her album "'Round Midnight - Reimaged" coming out later this year. Also new, is the latest release from vocalist Zoe Scott titled "Shades Of Love." It features twelve covers reimagined with a jazz, classical or bossa nova backdrop. She begins her new album off with graceful touch of "Quiet Nights" and a toned-down, jazzed-up version of The Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You." The songs of Antonio Carlos Jobim appear multiple times in this set, including the Latin flair of "Wave" and the emotional ballad "Once I Loved." She delivers a perfect, sultry version of Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour," before finishing with Jobim's bossa nova-style of "Triste" and a sultry jazz take of Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good." Last, but not least, we have one of the final releases from folk, jazz, rock singer/songwriter Judy Stuart titled "The Apostolic Session." This new 10-inch vinyl release features the improvisational jazz fusion piece "Inspiration," which was recorded in hopes to be used for a Vanguard Records release to demonstrate quadrophonic sound. Stuart's vocals are brash and a times reckless, showcasing the passion she poured into every performance. Side B of this release is a more formed piece titled "Nickel Bag Of Tears," which is perfectly aimed at the Woodstock generation with it's experimentation and psychedelic textured music. Sadly, Judy Stuart passed away in 2018 before she could see the final execution of these tracks.
